The project involves designing a residence for a family in the peaceful residential area of Dong Hoi Beach City.
The house should be well-ventilated to make the most of the surrounding air. The architect aims to provide the client with a functional home that offers a pleasant experience of space, light, and wind. The client requires a house with 3 bedrooms and a garden visible from many rooms inside the house.
Wu Architects aims to create a suitable concept of space for each construction project. The Serpentine house's spatial order deviates from the conventional townhouse's spatial order (gate – main door - living room – dining room – kitchen – family room - bedrooms). The goal is to extend the distance between the main gate and the inside spaces to create a journey through the garden and provide a broad view of the garden from the common spaces.
The facade with numerous concrete panels protects the house from sunlight, while the wind can easily flow through, ensuring adequate ventilation.
This article seeks to express our perspective on architecture, which is to establish a connection between the surroundings, building users, and the available material sources at the construction site. This approach ensures the building's longevity.
