A house of 1978 on a hillside acre and a half in Serra Retreat, a gated enclave off the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, sold in its original condition in 2017. Philippe Naouri Studio completely redid it: a main house of about 5,500 sq ft, a two-level guest house, a lap pool with its spa, the tennis court kept.
Black and white cladding, a glass stair tower, rift oak in the kitchen, a floating steel-and-wood stair and Beni Ourain rugs.
