Seturi Studio is a private residence and creative workspace located in the heart of Tbilisi, Georgia, within a historic building over 100 years old. The existing structure, defined by thick walls and preserved architectural elements, provides a grounded framework for the interior.

The project was developed as a living environment that supports both domestic life and creative practice. Rather than separating functions, the space allows working, gathering, and daily routines to coexist within a continuous spatial composition.

The interior draws inspiration from classic brownstone residences in New York, combining monumentality with intimacy. An eclectic dialogue between mid-century furniture, contemporary sculptural pieces, and curated vintage objects creates a layered yet calm atmosphere.

Natural materials and tactile surfaces shape the character of the space. Wood, wool, stone, plaster, and metal are used with restraint, emphasizing material authenticity and subtle tonal transitions. The palette is grounded in warm earthy hues, creating depth and cohesion.

At the center of the studio stands the Ocena Kitchen, functioning as both spatial anchor and social core. Beyond its functional role, it acts as a gallery wall and gathering point, defining circulation and reinforcing the relationship between structure and lived experience.

Custom monumental furniture elements developed in dialogue with Idaaf Architects introduce architectural weight within the interior. Artworks, including the wool-based “Running Horses” collaboration with Hole on the Wall, mirror works by Levan Mindiashvili, and “Volcano” by Tina Siradze, are integrated as spatial components rather than decorative additions.

Seturi Studio operates today as a private residence, design studio, and meeting space — shaped continuously by collecting, rearranging, and daily use.
