Surrounded by mountains and natural scenery, the duplex, which was designed for a young couple of entrepreneurs, is located near Bijiashan on the outskirts of Shenzhen—a booming, dynamic hub of innovation and technology that bridges Hong Kong with mainland China.

Dark grey paired with light earthy tones serves as the foundation of the interior, creating a striking yet balanced contrast between the floor and wall finishes. The rich texture of Rubelli fabric, the subtle elegance of Calico wallpaper, and the intricate woven metal by Sophie Mallebranche introduce layers of sophistication, depth, and tactile warmth, elevating the space with a harmonious blend of modernity and refined craftsmanship.

A wooden floor was installed in the bedroom to provide warmth and comfort while marble was used for the lower floor with the living room, dining area and tea room.
Throughout the duplex, pastel tones and warm finishes create a refined, boutique-like ambiance reminiscent of the Champs-Élysées.

Modern and traditional materials seamlessly converge, with marble and wood floors providing timeless foundations, while elegant lighting in brass tones and amber crystal infuses warmth and sophistication. In this home, every detail matters—wood paneling and intricately carved marble showcase exceptional craftsmanship, elevating the space with a refined, artisanal touch. The crisp and simple forms are complemented by moldings to add some finesse to the spaces. All the edges are softened with curves to evoke a sense of tranquility.
The resulting atmosphere is sophisticated and layered yet not over complicated.
