Reasons for design selection
The design was chosen for its seamless blend of modern aesthetics, functionality, and experiential living. The sculptural staircase serves as an architectural focal point, embodying the elegance of minimalism while creating dynamic spatial flow across levels. Thoughtful use of natural light enhances the tactile beauty of exposed concrete and textured finishes, elevating the ambiance
throughout the home. The integration of large glazing ensures visual connectivity with nature, fostering a serene and open environment. This design effortlessly balances luxury and livability, reflecting the family’s lifestyle and cultural values while prioritizing sustainability and wellness.
SUSTANIBLITY
The design integrates natural light, green spaces, and energy-efficient systems to create a luxurious yet eco- sensitive living environment.
This residence embraces sustainability by prioritizing natural light, ventilation, and eco-sensitive design elements. The elliptical openings in the façade and roof ensure optimal daylight penetration, reducing the need for artificial lighting. Even the basement benefits from natural light through thoughtfully designed O.T.S. (open-to-sky) sunken courtyards.
Green spaces and a water body integrated within the design promote a serene environment while supporting biodiversity. Recycled materials and energy-efficient systems, including VRV HVAC, further reduce the residence’s environmental footprint, ensuring a harmonious blend of luxury and sustainability. This home is not just a space to live in, but a step toward a greener, more responsible future.
Larger openings and glazing are placed on the north and east sides to maximize daylight while minimizing heat gain. Solid walls on the south and west protect the interiors, keeping spaces naturally shaded and comfortable.
EXPOSED CONCRETE WALLS: A key sustainability feature that enhances energy efficiency by improving thermal mass and maintaining indoor temperature, while aligning with the minimalist design ethos.
ELLIPTICAL OPENINGS AND O.T.S. COURTS: These design elements maximize natural light, reducing reliance on artificial lighting during the day, and facilitate cross-ventilation, minimizing the need for mechanical cooling systems.
DOUBLE-HEIGHT SPACES: Strategically designed large, open spaces promote natural airflow and efficient heat dissipation, contributing to reduced cooling demands.
ORIENTATION OF OPENINGS: North-facing openings are carefully planned to limit direct sun exposure, reducing cooling requirements while ensuring ample daylight permeates the interior spaces.
GREEN ROOFS AND VERTICAL GREEN SPACES: These features provide natural insulation, reduce the urban heat island effect, and improve air quality around the building, promoting sustainability and comfort.
WATER BODIES: Strategically placed water features use evaporation to naturally cool the surrounding air, creating a more comfortable microclimate.
SOLAR PANELS: Rooftop solar panels generate renewable energy, offsetting a significant portion of the building’s energy needs and reducing its carbon footprint.
RAINWATER HARVESTING: An integrated rainwater collection system minimizes water wastage, reduces dependence on external water supply, and lowers energy consumption for water heating and usage.
