333 StK is a mid-rise residential development on St Kilda Road, where contemporary apartment living is built around greenery, light, and the Australian instinct to be outside. There is a particular irony we enjoyed at Ravindra Energy: an office perched on the 37th floor of the Kohinoor tower in Mumbai, and our instinct was to bring it back down to earth. As the founders and architects of Bricolage Bombay, Vinit Nikumbh and Ankita Mathapati Nikumbh, we wanted this elevated workspace to feel rooted in Indian soil even as it floated above the city skyline. Sinaru is located along the Incheon Open Port Historic and Cultural Street, an area where historic buildings, heritage sites, and museums preserve more than 130 years of history. The opening of Incheon Port marked a turning point in Korea’s transition toward a modern nation. It was both a gateway through which new cultures and experiences entered the country and a point of departure from which Korean culture began to reach the wider world. Mindeulleul proposes a space where nature and architecture breathe together, drawing on the humble landscape embodied by the dandelion and the passage of time held within an old hanok. At the heart of the project are two concepts: Sasiji-oe (四時之外) and Daegoe-aegi (大塊噫氣). The first invites visitors to experience the rhythms of nature beyond the boundaries of the four seasons, while the second seeks to bring the breath of the earth and nature into the space.
