A small bathroom with a floor area of less than 4m (200x187cm), where a clever design and the use of the correct (installation) materials ensures that it is also a place where you still can relax. The bathroom contains a two person’s cabinet of 100cm in width, a toilet and a walk-in shower that allows freedom of movement while showering. The selection of the right materials allows the small bathroom to see and feel comfortable. The bathroom furniture has only a depth of 45cm resulting in slightly more floor space in the bathroom remains available. With a width of 100cm this vanity unit offers not only room for two people, but also ample storage space for the necessary toiletries in the double drawers. The toilet is a shortened version of just 48cm deep. This embodiment, in combination with the smallest corner built-in reservoir that is available, creates space winner number two leaving a maximum amount of floor space for the bathroom itself available. The walk-in shower provides a wall with a small angle to direct the water from the showerhead into the corner of the shower, preventing the water to enter the bathroom as much as possible. In both corners are tiled ‘seats’ created to offer a place for soap, shampoos etc. and outside the shower for taking clothes. The towel can be pre-heated or dried on the design radiator just around the corner.

Dit is bij het maken van badkamer ontwerpen voor kleinere badkamers een echt aandachtspunt, vaak ook een compromis, maar er moet wel voldoende ruimte over blijven om je prettig te blijven voelen gedurende het gebruik ervan.
