Black and Milk were appointed to complete the renovation of a converted warehouse in the heart of London’s West End, Soho. The objective was to spatially reconfigure the interior of a one-bedroom apartment to create harmonious flow with an infusion of Japanese elegance. The modern apartment boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, exposing the interior to an array of natural lighting; the space provides a unique and thought-through approach to building open plan spaces whilst separating key areas. With crafted Japanese rice paper doors, bespoke window wooden storage bench, and acoustic walls, the apartment incorporates both the Japandi style and Feng Shui principles. In addition, a tranquil space was created for the client, a renowned musician, using a neutral colour palette and a combination of natural materials, creating a haven away from the hustle of London’s fast past city life.
