Sun Life Financial’s Montreal headquarters recently unveiled an audacious and innovative workspace revitalization, marking the third phase of a comprehensive real estate strategy to rejuvenate multiple floors of one of downtown Montreal’s most iconic buildings.
Spanning 64,000 sq. ft. on a single floor, the project was thoughtfully planned to create distinct “neighborhoods” that enhance connectivity, fluidity, and interaction while respecting the building’s architecture.
A standout feature is the work café on the north façade, bathed in soft natural light, offering a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that encourages informal gatherings.
The hybrid environment embraces Sun Life’s “Future of Work” principles, prioritizing versatility, functionality, and comfort. Each neighborhood supports diverse work styles with areas dedicated to collaboration, focus, and social interaction, providing employees with the agility to choose spaces that best suit their activities.
To further support a flexible, hybrid work model, modular meeting zones were integrated with a wide range of ergonomic and adjustable furnishings, ensuring the spaces are not only high-performing and functional but also inclusive for everyone.
