Perched on the elevated pool deck of the Conrad Hotel Bahrain, SUSHISAMBA delivers more than just its globally celebrated culinary fusion—it serves up an immersive spatial experience that fuses Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian influences into one electrifying atmosphere. Designed by LW Design, the restaurant redefines what it means to dine with a view, offering a seamless indoor-outdoor layout that captures sweeping vistas of Bahrain Bay and the Manama seafront.
This is no ordinary restaurant. SUSHISAMBA in Bahrain breaks boundaries with its ability to evolve throughout the day—from a serene breakfast spot to a buzzing nightlife destination. The design embraces this fluid identity, balancing natural elements with bold artistic statements to create an environment that is vibrant, tactile, and unmistakably rooted in place.
The interiors are anchored by a dramatic sculptural timber ribbon ceiling that weaves movement across the space, while lush green walls and bespoke artwork by a local artist provide a sense of locality and cultural depth. Vivid burnt orange upholstery punctuates the darker palette of stained wood and foliage, injecting warmth and contrast without overwhelming the senses.
The spatial layout is intuitive and layered, with a strong sense of narrative. Guests are led through patterned flooring that subtly guides the journey between intimate seating zones, a commanding open kitchen with sushi counter, and a show-stopping bar. Custom-designed timber screens with an abstract leaf motif frame the bar area, offering both visual rhythm and a refined nod to the natural world.
Perhaps most striking is the way the restaurant dissolves the boundaries between inside and out. A statement bar extends effortlessly onto the terrace, where the rhythm of the space is amplified by DJ booths and the glimmer of the adjacent pool. Whether under morning light or beneath the pulse of evening beats, SUSHISAMBA Bahrain is a space in constant motion—designed not only to serve but to seduce.
