Jakarta, 8 February 2010 – After proudly announcing its recent achievement on TTG Travel Awards 2009, being voted again as “The Best City Hotel in Jakarta” for two consecutive years, as a clear evident of its strengthened position in the international market, Hotel Mulia Senayan just never stops reinventing itself as it launches another wondrous dining venue: TABLE8 (八仙桌 -or- Pa Sian Cuo), the new Chinese restaurant that will simply be another Jakarta’s great dining escapade.
Table8 is the new and unique Chinese restaurant serving Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines; favourites home-cooking, popular street food as well as various delicacies from the two regions, completed with a tea counter that offers many varieties of Chinese tea from different regions of China. Design-wise, the interior theme is Chinoiserie with a very homey ambience. The landmark of this uniquely-designed restaurant lies in the middle of the main dining area - a series of 24 pagodas in different heights (up to 6 feet) displayed on a very long table, which are beautifully-draped by a unique Dragon chandelier made of thousands of chains - all exclusively-designed and custom-made. Table8’s interior was designed by Mulia’s in-house design team.
As for the cuisines served, TABLE8 offers its connoisseurs a myriad of mouth-watering delicacies, ranging from a la carte, to 7 (seven) types of exclusive set menus as well as the town’s one and only extensive authentic Chinese buffet.
The a la carte offers various signature dishes and Chef’s Specialties; the world-famous “Buddha Jumps Over The Wall Soup”; the must-try “Suckling Pig and BBQ Crispy Pork”; “Braised Superior Shark’s Fin with Black Truffle and Dried Scallops served in Stone Pot”; “Scallop Cake with Asparagus and Shimeji Mushrooms in Ebara Sauce”; “Szechuan stir-fried Chicken Cubes with Dried Chili and Pepper Corn”; “Table8’s Fresh Steamed Bun with Choices of Fillings”; “Wok-fried Fragrant Rice with Foie Gras and Seafood”; as well as authentic Chinese dishes like “Beggar’s Chicken”.
Thus, this mid-city sanctuary continues to boast a lifestyle of uncompromising luxury and sophistication beyond five-star accommodation, providing its patrons with much more than merely living, dining and boarding facilities.
Table8 received a prestigious international interior design award in less than three months after opening its doors, as “Winner in the Fine Dining Restaurant category in the 2010 Hospitality Design (HD) Awards for Creative Achievement”, from Hospitality Design in New York City.
