At TAH, atmosphere is at the heart of our design philosophy—an intangible yet vital element that breathes life into architecture. Whether it’s the presence of greenery, curated objects, or the people inhabiting the space, these elements collectively nurture a living, evolving environment.
Our vision for TAH was that of a warm, uncomplicated apartment centered around a lush balcony—a vibrant pocket of greenery that opens up to a charming view each afternoon. To realize this concept, we maximized the opening to the balcony and introduced a continuous bench that links it to the living room. When the sliding doors are fully opened, the boundary between indoors and outdoors dissolves: the balcony and living area merge into a single, fluid space. This not only optimizes the apartment’s spatial efficiency but also allows nature to permeate deeply into the home. No matter where one stands in the shared space, the atmosphere of the small garden becomes a constant, living presence.
The interior palette is kept elegant and understated, while the furniture is purposefully minimalist—both in support of a lifestyle that embraces simplicity and harmony with nature.
From a technical perspective, aside from the bathrooms, all spatial partitions in TAH are created using custom cabinetry instead of traditional built walls. This approach conserves space, provides storage, and offers greater flexibility for future layout changes. It represents a new spatial strategy we are exploring in our recent projects—one that favors adaptability and thoughtful reduction.
