The Press is a residential development in central Wilmington, intertwined with public and private open areas and a variety of opportunities to interact with both the small community within the developments and the larger community of the city. 

The project features a 14-level residential tower along a major road with low rise residential buildings flanking either side. Public amenities such as parks surround the perimeter of the site. A large, private park is situated behind the three residential buildings to provide recreation and relaxing space for the community. 

The amenities at 801 N. Orange Street were planned so there is a continuous connection to outdoor spaces, creating a holistically intertwined series of uses. Spaces on the ground floor include a lobby, co-working lounge, and fitness center that open, which all open onto either a large private residential courtyard or a public urban park. A fourth-floor social lounge opens onto a roof deck overlooking the Wilmington skyline. 

Within the amenity spaces, the finishes aim to invert the dark, modern exterior by utilizing rich woods, light stone, and patterned wall coverings that, in coordination with expansive windows, create bright and inviting spaces to socialize with friends and neighbors.
