The issue: The original home had issues with waterproofing not only because the balcony was built higher than the floor level but the cladding had split and cracked allowing water ingress into the timber stud walls behind. This caused many of the external walls to be rotted out along with the balcony causing leaks into the bedrooms below.
Every external wall had to be demolished and rebuilt which allowed an opportunity to fix the underlying problem and add a new facade. The new facade transformed the home from a once spanish villa inspired box to a multi layered, modern and more suited residence for the golf course frontage. The protruding framed boxes direct the view towards the golf course and the ocean beyond.
