The project stems from the desire for a country house to shelter the family and receive friends on weekends, encouraging conviviality, leisure, and enjoyment of the landscape.
The land where the house was built is on a gentle slope, with a good part of its boundaries delineated by the curvature of the access road facing east. In this context, the project created a curved platform that emerges gently from the land through a stone wall that, while ensuring privacy from those traveling on the front street, supports the structures of the swimming pool, solarium, and fire pit facing the best view of the landscape.
On this foundation, an "L"-shaped building was constructed in such a way that all bedrooms, living areas, and lounges are fully integrated with the leisure platform.
Structurally, the construction was executed using metal pillars and beams, masonry in cellular concrete blocks, externally clad with wood paneling. This construction system, in addition to providing excellent thermal and acoustic insulation, drastically reduced waste generation during construction and, due to its structural lightness, allowed the living room to be completely cantilevered, projecting 5 meters beyond the front stone wall.
Under this cantilevered volume, a covered carport was created with access via an independent staircase. The main access is through the side of the house and is marked by a metal canopy.
Through sustainable technical and construction solutions and rational use of the land and its surroundings, the architecture reveals itself with expressiveness and innovation, providing a unique experience for users and blending with the topography of the site.
