- TUẤN AN Home is dimension 6.4m width x 14m length (90sqm). Location is north of Bac Ninh Province - Vietnam. The main facade is Southwest.
- Owner is a young couple with three children (two boys and one girl). They want the house to connect everyone together everywhere and every time. Have more amazing space to do work and relax after a stressful day at work.
- The house has four floors with two main blocks connected together by the staircase and relaxing space. Bedroom is arranged on the second and third floor. First floor has a living room and kitchen. Fourth floor is outdoor space and has a big garden here to plant more vegetables.
- The house has restricted by deep to 14M and the main facade is southwest but advantage is 6.4M width (other tube houses in Vietnam has a main facade just from 3.5-5M width).
- We arranged one restroom each floor and the location was changed from first to third floor. Therefore,we created different floor plan between floors.
- We created a buffer zone on the right side to give an extra view from inside of the house, creating more outside space on different heights, more effective ventilation and natural light. The first floor buffer zone is the hallway to the main lobby. It gives comfort for people when move at here. People can go to kitchen and backyard without go pass living room. It give private for people when stay at livingroom. It is emergency exit when the house has problem.
- Front of the house is back in about 2M to create a long balcony. At balcony 2nd and 3rd floor we planted curtain creeper. It makes shadow, therefore restricts sunshine to thrown inside the front of the house (from 12:00 to 16:00 daily).
- Void is arranged the front and back and middle of the house to make buffet zones that connect bedroom restroom living room and kitchen. Therefore, all rooms on floors can easily see and connect together. All four bedrooms have from three to four windows and doors for ventilation and natural light up better when it's open.
- Fourth floor (4.5M) is higher than other floors (3.6M) for effective ventilation because make temperature difference between 1st and 4rd floor. When people do work on the fourth floor will feel hot air above less that make comfortable for everyone.
- Garden vegetables on the fourth floor are the solution to protecting the house from natural sun and provide clean vegetables for the owner. It improve landscape for fourth floor that people can see trees from everwhere at this floor. It so great.
