Marcelo Rosset renoves house in Praia Da Baleia
This project located in Praia da Baleia, is an example of a renovation by the architect Marcelo Rosset, who transformed a conventional residence into an innovative and highly functional space. Diferrent from the typical houses in the region, which follow a uniform standard, this house stands out for creativity and integration of spaces, offering a unique living experience. Before the renovation, the house was surrounded by external areas that were not well used, and the garden was restricted to the front. The main objective of the renovation was to create an integrated and multifunctional outdoor area, making the most of the entire perimeter of the house.

The renovation involved the opening of larger openings in the doors and windows, which allowed for a greater connection between the internal and external environments. Furthermore, a new metal structure with a glass roof was installed on one side, expanding the space and creating a gourmet area. This area has a gas barbecue, a sink, cabinets and a counter for quick meals. All of this was designed to offer practicality and comfort to residents. In front of the house, the garden has been completely renovated and transformed into an integrated leisure space. The highlight is a lounge with puffs, which connects to a hydro made with the same porcelain tile as the floor, creating visual continuity. This space is covered by a metal structure, offering protection and comfort. Next door, a cozy living room with a sofa by Decameron, tables by Francino and Maki Design, completes the environment, ideal for moments of relaxation.

The gourmet area is another strong point, with a granite countertop and porcelain floors that imitate travertine, all carefully chosen to resist external conditions. Stools and lighting complement the space, making it not only functional but also elegant. The living room, one of the main interior spaces, has a sofa, concrete tables and leather armchairs. The walls are decorated with photos by artist Gigi Monteiro. Integration with the outside was emphasized with new openings in the walls, creating a visual and physical connection with the gourmet area. The home theater maintains the same palette of materials, with emphasis on the freijó wood bookcase, which was designed with ventilated doors to avoid mold problems, common in beach houses.

The upper floor is dedicated to bedrooms, designed to accommodate different family configurations. Headboards covered in textured leather and bedside tables bring a touch of sophistication, while ventilated cabinets ensure functionality. The main bedroom has side-by-side closets and a central bench, providing practicality and organization. A new guest bedroom has been created, which can also function as a second TV room. With modular sofas from Casa Uma, which can be transformed into beds, the environment is versatile and welcoming. The rattan cabinet, reused at the customers' request, adds a special charm to the space, which also includes a small ventilated desk.

The kitchen, entirely renovated, was planned to be functional and aesthetically pleasing. The floor and walls were covered with porcelain tiles, and the granite top complements the elegant and practical design. Appliances are seamlessly integrated, and a small pantry offers additional storage space. The laundry room, now integrated into the kitchen, follows the same design pattern, with cabinets that store all the items needed for everyday life. The creation of a skylight brought natural light and ventilation to the space, further improving its functionality. The suit bathrooms were designed with attention to detail, using porcelain tiles on the floors and walls. The ventilated cabinets and metals guarantee practicality and durability. Furthermore, the decoration completes the project with a careful selection of pieces, including a sculpture by Miriam Higu, which adds an artistic and sophisticated touch to the environment.
