The project includes renovation of a villa located at the foot of Pirin Mountain. This is a holiday house for the winter season near a ski resort. The house was built around 1990 and needed major renovation, according to the new living standards. There was a need to separate bathroom spaces, to open more windows and door to the backyard and combine common spaces such as kitchens, dining room and living areas.
The house spreads over 900 square meters located on three floors, ground floor, basement and one story above ground.
The underground floor has a completely relaxing function. There is a jacuzzi area, a sauna, a steam bath and a cold pool. In addition to the spa area, there is a fitness and massage studio, as well as a separate bathroom for the entire zone. On the ground floor is located the entire living room with attached office and library.
We connected the living area, the kitchen and the dining room in a common space and opened a emporium to the upper floor to create more light, space and airiness to the entire story. In the center of the living room there is a beautiful floating staircase that leads us to the floor with the bedrooms. There is a master bedroom and two more guest rooms, each with its own bathroom.
Тhe vision we were looking for was not the typical ski villa, because the location of the house is in the nearest town to the resort. The desire revolved around the idea of a modern urban holiday home, which we tried to achieve by combining natural wood paneling with different stones like marble and onyx.
For the modern look we helped ourselves with small details solved in metal surfaces such as bronze moldings and finishing elements. This gave the overall interior a slightly more luxurious feel.
