In the heart of the hills overlooking Lake Garda, a historic 400 sqm villa is brought back to life through a project by Archventil. A tailor-made renovation that weaves together the original architectural identity and contemporary sensibility, designed for an international couple with roots in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

This vacation home, spread across three levels, welcomes a family with two children - the eldest competing in Formula Junior races - and stands out for its refined balance between local heritage and a cosmopolitan lifestyle.

A project that listens
Every Archventil project begins with deep listening: to the structure, the context, and the people who will inhabit it. The villa in Soiano exemplifies this approach - no radical transformation, but a careful focus on materials, proportions, light, and finishes.

Pastellone - a continuous, textured surface - covers much of the house: from the flooring to the bathroom walls and even the indoor pool, creating visual coherence and a unique tactile warmth. The exposed beams, finished with sand-colored lime paint, lighten and brighten the interiors, contributing to a chromatic thread that runs throughout the home.

Interiors designed to welcome
The kitchen, completely reimagined, becomes the vibrant heart of the home: a spacious and convivial space centered around a large island. The kitchen block is by Binova (Dexelance), with a Marazzi porcelain stoneware countertop, Bertazzoni appliances, Bora cooktop, and seating by Verywood and TON. Lighting is curated by Marset and Modular Lighting Instruments, creating a dynamic and refined atmosphere.

The living areas unfold into two lounges: the main one furnished with a Bodema sofa, Jab rugs and curtains, Ethnicraft coffee table, artwork from Peter Frey Gallery, Vibia pendant lamp, Miniforms sideboard, and Nordlux table lamp. The second, more intimate lounge features Gervasoni bookshelves and a fresh selection of artwork.

Tailored atmospheres
The wellness spaces include a yoga room with Miniforms pieces, a custom walk-in wardrobe, and a personalized home cinema. The sleeping quarters are defined by a master suite with a Bolzan bed, a custom-designed headboard by Archventil, and a Gervasoni pendant light. The children’s rooms are customized in color and detail, with blue and pink accents in their respective bathrooms.

Bathrooms feature Galassia fixtures, Mobilduenne furniture, and bespoke elements, while the entrance welcomes guests with an elegant wood and glass structure designed specifically for the space. The outdoor areas follow the same stylistic coherence, with furniture by Kave Home and lighting by Nordlux, maintaining a continuous dialogue with the interiors.

Tradition, design, vision
Developed in collaboration with local artisans, the project celebrates the dialogue between pre-existing elements and new additions. Every detail tells a story of respect, transformation, and careful attention. A renovation that shows how contemporary living can be rooted in history without sacrificing innovation.
