Context: 

The house is located in Balchik, situated on a steep cliff with a magnificent view of Albena Gulf. The surrounding buildings are the typical two-storeyed villas of the 70's, all of them pitched roofed, and in this context it’s the only one flat-roofed building with cubic shapes.

Concept: 

From the street the house strikes with a black wall with no windows, that’s the north solid facade. The black entrance door is the only opening in this monumental barrier. In contrast, the southern part of the house is all white and richly glazed, integrated with the environment. The emphasis is on the connection with the sea and nature, from every window you can see the endless blue, the most valuable visual pleasure. The whiteness of the interior and the abundance of light create a sense of freedom and lightness, the silence and serenity sharpen the senses, and the dynamically changing exterior stimulates the imagination.
