Women's clothing Shop

Angelo Luigi Tartaglia as Architects

The brand Kuki Mellini has some stores in Rome, of which this is the latest example. The exercise, in proximity of Via Veneto, has a very regular shape, characterized by a main room with a rectangular shape completed with a cross vault .This volume is connected with another exposition area on a different level and above it we have located a warehouse. The project idea accomplish the client needs, trying to give them as much space as possible for the clothing collection exhibition and for this contingency we focused on a longitudinal geometry, trying to create a link between the two ambients at different heights.

The use of modular displays in the right part entering, is due to the need to be able to create movable elements on wheels, to give the possibility to access the showcases. They provide drawer at the bottom, lateral glass uprights that support illuminated hanging bars . Above them, a further shelf Glass exhibition. The same technique of the illuminated display bar with top shelf glass, is used for the rest of the store. At the left of the entrance the longitudinal element in lacquered wood, is broken up into two portions, with a firm tug and tilted at 45 degrees, giving as a result, cashier's desk and an additional exhibit space for knitting. The central longitudinal element, is constituted by a single hanging bar , surmounted by a glass working plane and it is concluded towards the entrance, with a sitting for customers.

The fitting rooms, concealed from view with mirrored walls, have been located in the rear portion of the store. The existing two large arcs were characterized by a rain motif, performed with lacquered wooden strips which, on the front wall, at the bottom, become more display elements for clothing complements. The floor is made with porcelain tiles, size 60x60 cm from Mirage Company, "Plain" lapped series . For the wood work we have used two gray shades, glossy lacquers. The lighting system is made with suspended lights apparatus from Zumtobell Company and, in the windows display , headlights RGB for scenic effects .
