The outdoor equipment company YETI sought to develop a headquarters environment that would authentically embody their adventure brand DNA while supporting contemporary flexible work practices. The objective was to craft a space where team members would experience genuine inspiration, meaningful connection, and authentic pride in their workplace community.
The design brief required accommodation of hybrid working patterns while establishing an environment that would strengthen cultural bonds and reflect YETI's distinctive outdoor lifestyle positioning.
Design Response
Collaborating with ChadandWick, the Amicus project team developed an interior strategy that channels YETI's core identity: durable, genuine, and community-focused.
The material palette draws heavily from natural elements, incorporating textured wall treatments, timber joinery, and polished concrete flooring to establish an authentic connection with outdoor environments. These raw finishes create atmospheric warmth while grounding the space in tactile, organic qualities.
Strategic brand integration occurs through carefully curated installations, including a life-sized bear sculpture and camouflage-detailed furniture pieces that reference YETI's outdoor heritage without overwhelming the spatial experience. These elements function as cultural touchstones that reinforce brand narrative throughout the workplace journey.
Spatial programming addresses diverse work modes through deliberate zoning strategies. A stepped amphitheatre configuration provides informal gathering space for company-wide presentations and collaborative sessions, while complementary environments include comfortable lounge clusters, café-style work settings, and enclosed retreat spaces for focused activities and intimate team interactions.
The Amicus Technology division enhanced user experience through sophisticated systems integration. Streamlined room booking systems, elegantly embedded video conferencing equipment, and an impressive overhead digital display showcasing aerial landscape footage ensure YETI's outdoor connection remains present while supporting advanced workplace functionality.
