The new project for Zissou Flagship sought to create a dreamlike, comfy and innovative environment which translates the brand’s values through a solution that integrates digital and analog. All senses are stimulated in the experience through the coverings, the soundscape, or the immersive installation.
The cardboard box, the mattress casing, is Zissou's main symbol and therefore it was used as the base module of the project, replicating itself from 3 different thicknesses to cover walls and ceiling creating a digital aesthetic texture in the color palette of the brand (coral and blue). The scenic lighting emphasizes the colors and shapes of the covering. All the boxes were installed through a magnet system allowing the removal and replacing of the pieces and ensuring easy maintenance. The use of cardboard boxes as the main material is also a sustainable option.
The colors application organizes the project program between the floors. On the ground floor the coral predominates while the first floor is immersed in shades of blue. The carpet was used in a similar tone all over the space improving the acoustic quality of the environment and activating the tactile experience of the visitor, who is invited to remove their shoes when entering the store.
The special “Dreaming bedroom” was designed in partnership with the collective Modular Dreams. It is an immersive multimedia installation consisting of rgb programed lighting (“red, green, blue”) on panels designed especially for the place, creating a meditative and dreamlike atmosphere. By putting the headphones on it is possible to listen to the soundscape synchronized with the color moods while laying down on the mattress enjoying a moment of relaxation and escaping from the external world.
Through the wide glass window, the facade highlights the pixelate effect from the interior arousing the curiosity of the visitors.
