Savaria

Savaria has a rich history of over 30 years in the industry. Acquired in 1989 by Marcel Bourassa, Savaria’s CEO today, the company grew significantly as an accessibility company. With the acquisition of Concord Elevator in 2005, Savaria entered the luxury home elevator market with innovative, high quality brands by Concord. That same year, Savaria acquired Van-Action to offer wheelchair van conversions and custom vehicle adaptations. With the 2006 opening of its 100% managed manufacturing operation in Huizhou, China, Savaria is able to more efficiently produce components for its array of products. This complements the company’s North American custom manufacturing operations. In 2010, the company consolidated its brands under the Savaria moniker as personal mobility products. Uniquely positioned to offer solutions in the home, public spaces and vehicles, the company seeks to better the mobility of people no matter where they need it.
