The project seeks in terms of materiality and the physical envelopes a transparency and honesty of the components used, presenting them in a natural way, nothing supposed or simulated, trying that the own characteristics give the conditions of each space, closed to sunlight and heat gain, and open to internal and external views, to natural ventilation and the relationship with the garden as an induced natural element.
The walls of tapial make up the basement, the walls on which it moves, in a direct allusion and material from where the house is placed, using all the material obtained when digging in the various underground strata of the site.
The different platforms levels are divided into three intentions, the social, the intimate and those of the functional spaces, the first ones on the ground floor that unite all the social spaces were carried out by means of a polished concrete floor, subjected to a laser leveling and shining process that unifies it and allows it to be perceived as a great monolith, in a transition from the outside to a protected interior space, the second one, that includes rooms and the family room is a laminated wooden floor that seeks to give it warmth and privacy, while in the complementary and functional spaces are looking for the right combination of porcelain tiles that allow us practicality in wet areas and the materials balance that give it sense of harmony.
The opening of every space to the garden, forced to work with transparencies, the weather and the sun position that are given to the spaces allow us to do so and a perception of greater space is achieved, multiplying that opening and having a direct relationship with the garden and the covered terrace.
The artificial lighting that is achieved is accentuating the key points of each space, giving the possibility of different senses of spaces of permanence, in all cases the use of LED light was conditioned as energy saver, and thus also, natural light It is present in a direct, controlled and functional way in every space;
For this project, a special piece manufactured on site was designed that conformed the module to build the lattice that allows the views of the sunset and controls the solar incidence inside by the west facade, in addition to forming a paint of reticular light that dramatically penetrates the dynamic spaces of the house.
