KO+KO architectural company designed a show-room for business clients of Samsung Company which is the leader in the market of electronics and appliances. The project was created for the premises which occupy a part of the eighth floor of a high-rise business center "101 Tower" in Kiev (Ukraine).
The premises with the area of 171 sqm, had a number of restrictions, such as architectural columns; besides, one of the walls is entirely glazed. As the main emphasis is to be placed on Samsung equipment demonstration, the interior was decorated mostly in neutral color grade with the client’s brand book taken into account. The spacing is simple and provides for just two zones – the show room itself and a negotiation zone partially divided by a tinted triplex partition on which the corporate symbols or presentation materials can be demonstrated by means of a projector. It is also planed to make from triplex a large table for negotiations.
In the demonstration zone exposition pedestals have original design – they are made from bent plywood bands covered with micro concrete with polymeric filling. The office floor is covered with the same material, so the pedestals look as if they were a part of the same structure. The ceiling is decorated with metal lamels with technical light (Artemide, EdenDesign). Down on the walls metal bands form racks for product placing. One of the walls is made of corian panels in contrast white color, it has racks for storing documents and niches for major appliances.
KO+KO architects was founded by architects Zakhar Kozoliy and Alexey Komarov in 2009. Starting their own studio had become a logical step after their work for one of the most famous architectural studios of Ukraine. In the last few years architects managed to win several prizes in Ukrainian and international contest of architecture and design. Currently the portfolio consists of various works: from private interiors and residential houses, to ambitious urban planning projects. One of key interests of the architects is industrial design, and they work very successfully in this field, creating contract and exclusive one-of-a-kind objects for their interiors.
