Olive Poolhouse

Set within a residential landscape in Olivebridge, New York, the Olive Poolhouse is conceived as a secondary structure that supports outdoor living while responding to the climatic constraints of the region. Rather than functioning as an isolated amenity, the poolhouse is integrated into a broader site strategy that connects the existing home, outdoor patios, and pool into a continuous spatial sequence. Its sustainability lies in this careful coordination of movement, exposure, and enclosure, allowing the building to remain useful across seasons without excessive reliance on mechanical systems. Kate Sears   Site integration and minimal intervention The project is organised around the pool as a spatial connector rather than a st... More

Apartments + shops in Eindhoven

Near the center, in a park-like environment are a museum, the library, and the cultural center. In this series of striking buildings, a place has been created for the next striking building. A new apartment complex (Woonkeur) with shops. The careful integration into the park and connection to the existing buildings is an important point of attention. For example, different building heights have been chosen. copyright ©2025 Niek Hilgen Higher on the park side, lower on the center side. There is also variation in horizontal and vertical articulation, the balconies accentuate the horizontality. The vertical slots that run across the floors are the verticality. Moradia em Albarquel

This project concerns a single-family dwelling set on a plot with a steep natural slope and a privileged view over a surrounding landscape rich in vegetation and close to a body of water. The layout of the house takes advantage of the topography, sitting on a partially suspended platform that provides a continuous visual connection with the horizon and subtle integration with the surrounding nature. Hra-Lisboa Hra-Lisboa Hra-Lisboa The architectural proposal is based on a volumetric composition marked by horizontal lines and overlapping planes, defining a contemporary, minimalist, and elegant language. The large glazed openings play a central role, allowing the fusion between interior and exterior, creating spacious, bright... More

Moradia Unifamiliar Carnaxide

The project consists of a three-storey single-family house, set on a sloping plot with a steep longitudinal gradient. The main premise of the architectural design was to enhance the relationship between the interior and exterior, providing wide, unobstructed views and a continuous experience between the living spaces and the outdoor garden and leisure areas. Hra-Lisboa Hra-Lisboa The architectural language adopted is based on a contemporary aesthetic of pure lines and marked volumes, highlighting the contrast between opaque planes covered in light-coloured stone and continuous glazed surfaces. The composition of the elevations prioritises horizontality, accentuated by the large cantilevered balconies that define the three living... More

Condominium 3 houses in Bicesse

The Condominium 3 houses in Bicesse is a contemporary residential building with a markedly horizontal design, set on a gently sloping plot. The building has three floors above ground, staggered in levels that follow the natural topography of the land. The design is characterized by straight, clean lines, with a strong emphasis on landscape integration and maximizing private outdoor areas. Hra-Lisboa The architectural language favors transparency and a fluid relationship between the interior and exterior, evidenced by the extensive use of glazed planes in minimalist frames. These wide, continuous openings ensure abundant natural light, provide unobstructed views of the surrounding space, and reinforce the feeling of spaciousness in the... More

Rehabilitation house in Estoril

In the renovation of the Estoril House, the area of intervention and the building located there represent an important reference in the historical and heritage identity in the memory and image of that place. In this sense, the intervention strategy is based on two levels:– First, in promoting the renovation/qualification of the pre-existing structure and, consequently, its revitalization, preserving theoverall image that has been built. Caption – At the same time, on the construction of a new contemporary architectural volume/object. Which incorporates part of the new program. It is in this existing duality |new and historical| contemporary that the concept of the project and its points of contact result – in the c... More

ROYAN MUNICIPAL TECHNICAL OFFICE

The project involves the development of a plot located in the North-East of Royan, in a typical suburban industrial area. The plot is divided into two spaces: a public area for administration and a more private area dedicated to technical workshops. Caption Caption This layout helps to streamline traffic flows and separates access zones for administrative vehicles and staff. The location of the main building is influenced by a gas pipeline running across the site. However, this constraint is turned into an advantage by using the existing embankment to raise earth over the pipeline, allowing for planting and distancing the site from the street. The project strikes a balance between mineral and vegetal elements, emphasizing soil per... More

Hidden Nest TDM

Located in the suburban area of Thu Dau Mot (Binh Duong), Hidden Nest - the name given by the homeowner - was designed with the initial requirement of creating a living space for two people: a mother and her son, with the desire to achieve simplicity in lifestyle, serenity, and the most minimal impact from the surrounding environment. Caption Hidden Nest is laid out in three solid volumes - comprising two bedrooms and the kitchen-bathroom space. The remaining areas, including the living space, circulation, and the skylight, are the voids. The structure is completed with three roofs enveloping the solid and void spaces above: one for the front porch, one for the main house volume, and the other for the space behind the house. Tangram House

The Tangram House has a different volumetry inspired by the game of the same name, a puzzle of Chinese origin that consists of geometric pieces that combine to make other shapes.  Michel Paschini The single block of land with a fan shape made it difficult to adopt orthogonal lines for the implantation and volumetry of the house. So we worked on a prism-shaped plan that follows the different geometric orientations of the plot. Following the same guideline, the building's volumetry arises from the composition of different volumes, which come together in a free composition that accommodates the program of uses and the irregular terrain. It's like a Tangram game where different fragmented shapes make up a cohesive and harmonious whol... More

House K

We designed a residence that doubles as a workspace in a 50-year-old apartment building on a high ground in the heart of the city. The building stands on a hillside in the shape of a mortar facing a nearby river. Because of the change in zoning across the road, there are no tall buildings in front of the apartment, and the balcony offers a wide view of the city stretching out to the horizon, merging with the sky.  Masanori Kaneshita Masanori Kaneshita Masanori Kaneshita The U-shaped floor has windows on three sides, allowing daylight to flow in and air to circulate throughout the day, as well as enabling the residents to feel close to the outdoors environment even inside. 3ndy Studio Headquarter

Game of oblique lines, a careful consideration towards sustainability, recovery, and the use of humble materials for an industrial appearance, the idea of redevelopment also for the benefit of the community: at the foundation of their headquarters project, 3ndy Studio placed their professional ethics, aiming for choices that would mirror their own values. In 2010, after ten years in the initial location, they inaugurated their current "home", the result of the refurbishment and energy conversion of a former shoe factory in the Brenta Riviera. The concept was to breathe new life into a building with a strong personality, with a collective memory not to be dispersed but rather reinterpreted from both architectural and environmental perspectiv...
