Corner Apartment

1. Inspirations and Key Concepts The project is located on a narrow plot of 7.5 × 25.5 meters in a dense street of Mashhad, Iran, dominated by repetitive classical façades. From the outset, three central questions guided the design: How can we introduce change and impact within a street characterized by kitsch classical façades? How can we design a tall, narrow volume to engage with light and spatial fluidity? How can we transform municipal regulations—specifically the mandatory 45-degree setback—into opportunities for formal expression? The design embraces these limitations as catalysts for creativity. The imposed 45-degree cut became a dynamic surface, repeated and multiplied across the façade, shapin... More

This network structure, in addition to influencing the internal layout and defining open and semi-open spaces, plays a significant role in the building’s form... More

Hashtbandi House

This project is located in Hashtband City, Hormozgan Province, an area characterized by a hot climate and intense sun exposure. This approach ensures effective shading and energy efficiency in the hot climate. Caption Caption The ground floor consists of one unit, and the first floor contains two units. Kabootar Khaneh

Kabootar Khaneh (Dovecote) As the project name suggests, the basic concept behind the design was to create a space for co-existence between humans and birds. After visiting the project site before the design, the architecture team noticed the widespread presence of birds there. Thus, to respect their rights, they decided to design a house where people could live next to them to create an interaction between them that causes a different sense of space to improve its quality. In this respect, inspired by Iranian historical dovecotes, a part of interior space was dedicated for this purpose that acts as a patio due to the use of glass material and the transparency around it. As a result, the design of the work was practically expanded from the... More
