V Orman Resort is a mixed-use complex in the Mudurnu district of Bolu, which is being built in phases. This complex is accompanied by a topographically specific terrain with a mesmerizing natural landscape and high altitude.  Instead of a single building that disrupts the landscape with large-scale interventions, the project adopts the principle of fragmented horizontal architecture, aiming to preserve the overall texture of the existing topography. After relocating, the resulting reduction in floor space meant they needed to make bigger changes to their working style than they had first envisioned. Caption Russell and Dawson provided architecture design services and engineered a 64,000 sq. ft. space for the construction of a new hotel with a project value of $ 15 million. We provided design-build services including Architectural, Structural, and MEP Design Services, Construction Administration, and Closeout. Russell and Dawson was also a general contractor for this project. The hotel is located off Highway 12 amid Key Road Plaza retailers and casual dining. Ahmedabad is famous for its kite festival. The triangulations in the form are immensely inspired from the dynamics of this form rooting the culture in the design concept.  The site is located strategically abutting a 36m wide road. The site measures 38 x 61 m. The design mainly considered appropriate road frontage and road widening. Southern exposure is minimized through orientation to ease the harshness of incident sunlight on the building. Our next design-build venture with authentic living principles, this custom residence overlooking Ladybird Lake utilizes tricks from local regulatory hurdles to maximize its use and value. The regulations limited the size of the project to a single 550 sf Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), however, by adding a third detached dwelling structure, and creating basements, we are able to create a 1425 sf multi-unit compound.  ​ Underground conditioned spaces allow us to have a detached sound-proof music studio connected to the master suite via private sunken garden patio. The project focuses on the renovation of an optics store, dating back 40 years. The store is a landmark of Nea Smyrni, Athens, located in a prominent site on the square by El Venizelos Avenue. At the heart of customer demand lays the radical renovation and overall design of a new, recognizable business brand identity. The main challenge we faced was the volume of information assembled in a confined space of about 50sqm a multitude of distinct infrastructure elements, counters with glasses, benches, drawers, furniture, lightning, and visible air conditioning systems, paired with a large amount of heterogeneous exhibits, all contributed to a loaded environment, which was both tiring for the visitor and failed to showcase the product.
