OY Flagship Store

OY Flagship Store 2.0 OY stands for ‘OPEN YARD’—an open ground. It represents not only a physical space, but a state of openness that embraces diversity and dissolves boundaries. Caption This concept is translated into a spatial field—an environment that remains open to all while embodying the raw, street-driven energy of Hongdae. The first and second floors are seamlessly connected, allowing the space to be experienced as a continuous flow rather than a sequence of rooms. Caption Caption Black and white, the brand’s essential language, is articulated through subtle variations of materiality—metal, wood, and glass.Rather than a simple contrast, these elements shift through light, texture,... When creating this project, we wanted to convey exactly this meaning. In the interior, we used only monochrome colors: white walls, a gray floor, and black rails that create rhythm within the space, unifying the entire composition.Upon entering the boutique, the first room features a large podium that breaks the geometry of the long, narrow space, visually inviting visitors to walk along it and explore the... LA GALLERIA

Rather than organizing the store areas by single brands or by typology, we intend to shuffle brands and items in order to create visuals and possibility of combining different items from different brands, enhancing the buyer’s experience and the potential amount of purchases. Therefore the shop would be made of different volumes and clusters rather than surfaces and open spaces.  Lapis Bureau (LxB) Lapis Bureau (LxB) Lapis Bureau (LxB) Architectural elements are separating the spaces and at the same time host different items in “fashion island” : clothes, accessories, wearables, shoes, scarves, hats, etc., displayed next to each others. Andersson Bell

[Task Note]Sadly, space designers don’t have much authority in choosing space. We must complete the task of removing weed and build its own place from ruined spaces. When we tear down the wall and dig through the floor, we reveal the sedimentary layers of the finishing materials as if they were solid time, and in the end, you have to remove them all and fill them up clean to carry out architectural work.  Sunghoon Han We treat this with great care as if we don't damage the traces of an imperfect past, and preserve them like historic sites, turning a blind eye to the aesthetics of perfection, and finally uncovering the traces of time. Sunghoon Han [The Poetry of Ruins]'These crude, imperfect properties found to have re... More

RENOVATION OF GENTLEMEN MODE RETAIL AREA

Gentlemen Mode is a fashion store in the historical centre of Oud-Beijerland. In 2002 EGM refurbished the entire store by connecting a number of properties together to create one bright, open space. Now the front section of the store was in need of a fresh new look. This retail area is very visible from the shopping street outside. The chance to give the store’s image a powerful boost both visually and tangibly was therefore seized. The client’s wish was to make the interior feel like a boutique with lots of possibilities for the changing collections. EGM interiors translated this wish into a layered layout that offers plenty of potential for an extensive and high-end presentation.   High-quality presentation Gentlemen M... More

Anthos

Anthos was born from the desire to achieve a design that simultaneously takes advantage and enhances the architectural features of the space. The original space consisted of a single tunnel-shaped room divided into four squared bays with vaulted ceiling. The concept envisions the division of space into two functionally different zones:The first three bays host the clothing display while the last bay contains a mirroring wall, the cashier desk and the accessories display as a background of the composition.Furniture seizing focuses on a geometric module based on the subdivision of the bay into three parts.Lighting represents an important part of the project. In fact, integrating lighting within the pieces of furniture, allows an optimal exhib... More
