Tennis Clubhouse

In 2001, the Amsterdam tennis club Tie-Breakers had a clubhouse and a tennis hall built on the east side of Flevopark. The club has since grown considerably, and the building was in need of major maintenance work. This was used as an opportunity to enlarge the existing clubhouse and make it more sustainable. Katja Effting The preliminary design was created by a number of club association members, including Sander Mirck. Gnodde House

This semi-detached house on IJburg (Amsterdam) was developed from the side façade and emphasizes the length of the plot by a partition; a narrow utilitarian part (left) and a wider spatial part (right). In the utilitarian part functions like washing, bathing and storage are situated. In the spatial part you will find the living room, kitchen and bedrooms. By pushing the utilitarian functions into the side facade like loose elements, a dynamic façade appears on the long side. To prevent passersby from looking in through the side façade but allow for daylight to enter the spaces, narrow windows were placed perpendicular behind it. Three years after the closing om the skatepark on the NDSM Wharf, Amsterdam Noord found a new location for it’s indoor skatepark. This time it’s on the Hamerstraatgebied, situated on the north side of the IJ.The renovated hall at the Aambeeldstraat offers 1400m2 space for skate activities, including recreation and lessons on every level. Besides, there is a 150m2 catering facility with a double function as a ‘canteen’ and external hospitality.This newly created hospitality unit protrudes two meters from the original façade. Two existing schools in two neighbouring locations in Maastricht are merging into a new school on a new location in that city. This particular location was chosen to strengthen the weak social structure of the two neighbourhoods and to introduce a new digital education system to learn also more about the environment, nature and sustainability. White and very lightful, that’s how everybody imagine a perfect flat by the sea. So it’s “Casa Pina” in which resin, walls and white wood panelling, highlight the “Frakè”, wood with numerous contrasts of dark and bright veins, used for all the house furniture. The natural light ripples on the artificial light wave that softens and gives character at the squared shape of the walls. The table divides the kitchen from the dining room separated by a white wood panelling closed/open. It is always the white that predominate in the house character. Quay House

Quay Property for Waterrijk Woerden in the urban plan by West 8. Recently we, Inarchitecten, a house yielded Lake Balaton number 49 in Woerden, the "Quay House" or as the West 8 urban design in their name; "Quay House". These are privately commissioned with the houses in a continuous row. In this case, they preformed semi-underground parking facility, so the houses about 1200 mm above street level start. One enters via a ramp on the street then the entrance (From this room you can go to the underground parking), living room, kitchen, terrace and scaffolding to the water.
