PwC Portugal

The intervention at the PwC offices in Lisbon comprised organising and optimising the space and its occupation through the redesign of social, work, and collaborative working areas.Inspiration, innovation, and leadership are keywords in the PwC positioning that we wanted to see reflected in the workspace and, for that reason, were the basis of inspiration for the project. The level of customisation was high, impregnating the space with a design that reflects the brand's DNA, transmits its values, and increases the attractiveness of the office itself. The first step was to break down existing barriers, enhancing collaborative work and providing maximum comfort. After that, with a refined geometric design, the brand has been transposed into a... CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut

Impact, employees’ wellbeing, and a culture of collaboration were the 3 axes that guided the architecture project for CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut's new headquarters in Lisbon, designed by OPENBOOK Architecture. The new CMS Rui Pena & Arnaut office is designed for people - employees and clients - to meet the needs and expectations of those who inhabit it. The architecture has given special emphasis to the creation of different types of spaces, designed to encourage informal, individual and teamwork, with different levels of silence and concentration requirements. The first impact matters. That is why CMS Rui Pena e Arnaut's Offices were designed to reveal the prestige and distinction associated with it, right from the lobby. An imp... More

Pernod Ricard Headquarters Paris

Housed in a building by Ferrier Marchetti Studio, the Pernod Ricard's office stands contiguous to Saint-Lazare train station and spans almost 200,000 square feet across eight floors. There are planted terraces and a few beehives on the green rooftop, and while none of the firm’s 900 employees has an assigned workstation, they do have a choice of some 2,400 different seats. They also have access to an almost dizzyingly long list of amenities, which include an in-house package-delivery counter, a game room, a travel lounge with a nap room, and a “Health Village” comprising a gym, hairdressing salon and barber’s shop, massage parlor, and an infirmary. Slack Headquarters San Francisco

When Slack asked O+A to create its new multi-floor headquarters in San Francisco one design story presented itself immediately. Slack’s CEO Stewart Butterfield is an outdoorsman, a hiker who goes off grid every year and recharges in the various types of wilderness—desert, mountains, forest—that make up the Pacific Crest Trail. Because that trail forms a bridge between two of Slack’s offices in Vancouver and San Francisco it seemed a thematic link too rich to pass up. O+A’s concept was to create a floor-byfloor evocation of those landscapes—in effect to turn a trip up the elevator into a virtual trip from Baja to the Pacific Northwest. The idea was to suggest not just a variety of topographical and botanic... More

Located at the core of Beijing’s new 30-hectare central business district, CITIC Tower is the tallest building and a new icon of the capital. CITIC Tower’s design draws inspiration from the “zun”, a ritual vessel originating in Bronze Age China. In profile, the tower abstracts and refines the zun’s vase-like form, balancing composition and articulation with structural requirements and leasing depth needs. In plan, the building is square with rounded corners; its width transforms vertically from its 78-meter-wide base to its 54-meter-wide “waist” to its 69-meter-wide top. Broader at its base than its crown, the tower combines its iconography with infrastructure that supports the building’s int... More

Giant Group Global Headquarters

Located in the heart of the Central Taiwan Science Park, the project consists of a 15-story office tower, a 3-story cycling culture museum, and an underground parking garage, with a total gross floor area of approximately 33,000m². With a design language echoing that of Giant’s bicycle frames to convey a sense of freedom and motion, the architecture of the soaring tower and curvaceous museum form a dynamic composition that is bold and forward looking.   Specifically the tapering tower form corresponds with the program arrangement, with the public and amenity areas in the podium followed by the R&D labs and offices, and culminating in the executive suites at the top. The service core is placed on the west to mitigate he... More

Minerva Galleries make up the commercial ground floor of a multi-family building built in the 70s in the expansion district of Tarragona. Like most commercial galleries implanted between mid and late last century, they are covered and opened only to pedestrians. Being, therefore, precursor elements at the birth of the shopping centers, whose arrival has meant that most commercial galleries have closed the doors or have been reconfigured. This is the case of the Minerva Galleries, which has seen how retail trade has been disappearing and its premises have been transformed into offices or professional consultations, like this project.   Servifinques is a growing company with an activity aimed at the real estate world and in the adminis...
