Located in the south-east area of Milan, The Sign Edificio D houses the new headquarters of L’Oréal Italia within the wider The Sign Business District. Extending across approximately 13,000 square metres over nine above-ground floors, the building is conceived as part of a larger urban regeneration framework. Its sustainability agenda operates at several levels: through the continuity it establishes with the public realm, the environmental performance embedded in its envelope, and the wider ecological strategy of the district in which it sits. The project area is located in Viale Fulvio Testi 223 in Milan, and it is an opportunity to recover and enhance the structure of the former Pirelli Institute, built in the 1950s, after several transformations. The structure, once used as a workshop-school and now abandoned, is composed of two parts: one used as classrooms and later transformed into offices, and one that is a typical factory made up of a sequence of bays with a pitch of about 8 metres and a length varying between 15 and 30 metres with an average height of 7 metres. In Ulpiana, a historic district of Kosovo, the headquarters building of IPKO Telecommunications exudes confidence through simplicity. The Building The building complex is found at 136 Kifissos Avenue and is part of the broader industrial area of Peristeri. The project concerns the renovation of old warehouses and their conversion into supermarket chain headquarters.
