Hotel Kristberg integrates sensitively into the alpine landscape. The design is based on the interplay of core and envelope: a stair core of bush-hammered exposed concrete forms the structural backbone, while a skin of glass and black-stained timber ensures transparency. Prinz Chalet – Nature is smart! The project Prinz 2.0 is located in Meran, in the Naif, between the existing hotel Prinz Rudolf and the campground Einsiedler. The hotel owners had the wish to expand the hotel and wanted to offer their guests a new exciting alternative. The new structure is supposed to work independently from the hotel, but it is still connected with the main building in a functional way. The Huawei R&D Campus in Guangzhou was conceived not as a single architectural object, but as a fragment of city carefully assembled along the river’s edge. The project is located on Songnan Road in Baiyun District, Guangzhou and has a mixed-use district with a total gross floor area of approximately 300,000 square metres, comprising eight office buildings, one hotel, and an exhibition hall converted from a former sugar factory. A complex of three stone-built buildings is located west of the city of Chania in the village of Kalivani, near Balos. Built on a plot of 420 sq.m., the buildings, measuring 220 sq.m., are arranged around an inner courtyard with water as the connecting element between the building volumes. Pointed arches, doorways with semicircular or low-arched lintels reveal the Venetian imprint on Cretan architecture.
