Mountain Retreat Villa

Mountain Retreat Villa is a contemporary luxury residence conceived for a steep, forested mountain setting, where architecture and landscape are carefully integrated to create a private retreat immersed in nature. The design is organized as a series of interconnected volumes that follow the natural topography of the site, minimizing the visual impact of the building while maximizing panoramic views toward the surrounding forest and mountainous landscape. Borgo Banditaccia

Set along the ridge of a Maremma hillside, between two valleys and in visual dialogue with the distant fortress of Magliano in Tuscany, Borgo Banditaccia is restored as a unified organism. A rural settlement that shaped the agricultural landscape for over a century, later reduced to a fragmented presence, now re-emerges through a project that weaves together architecture, landscape, and the human dimension of living. Andrea Ceriani The intervention is not conceived as a simple renovation, but as a process of reconciliation between rural memory and a contemporary way of inhabiting. The project takes as its generative core the only authentic remnants of the original complex—the vaulted cart tracks and the compact northern volume&m... More

Royal Palm

From a distance, Royal Palm reads as layered planes of stone, wood, water, and glass stepping down a mountainside in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Its modern design extends in a series of horizontal volumes towards the valley below, opening to an infinity-edge swimming pool, and outdoor living spaces for entertaining and resort-style living. At the heart of the design is a light-filled main floor where the kitchen, dining room, living room, bar and wine display share one open plan. A skylight brings natural light down and through this open volume, and then past a glass floor walkway into the lower level below, while floor-to-ceiling sliding glass walls connect the main living areas to the outdoors. Curving Modern

The most striking feature of this home are the razor-edge roof profiles and the fact that those roofs swoop both vertically and horizontally. It is really an evolution of modern design. It uses all of the typical architectural rules of modern home design and takes it to the next level. JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD JMAD The roof forms serve functions on the exterior. They overhang to provide shade during the warmer months and then create a really unique transition from the single story portion of the home to the second story. Plus, they take form in the great room with a curved ceiling form above that transitions up to the second floor, creating a timeless architectural element.  JMAD JMAD JMAD... More

LAKE TAHOE | LAKEFRONT

The dramatic site largely informed the design of this residence. Early explorations of a serpentine architecture threading through large, slumbering boulders and towering evergreen trees resulted in a design which cascades the site, negotiating the sectional character of the lot, leading to the water’s edge. Rather than altering the site by removing seemingly cumbersome boulders, the design worked with it – integrating its unique character and intricacies, creating moments for its residents and visitors.  JOE FLETCHER JOE FLETCHER JOE FLETCHER JOE FLETCHER JOE FLETCHER The material and color palette of the design was equally inspired by the site’s inherent beauty. The residence is set on a ru... More
