Royal Oak

With its modern glass wall design, moat-style swimming pool that wraps around the entire backyard, and outdoor living spaces that extend all the way from the lowest floor to the rooftop, Royal Oak offers a luxury interpretation of contemporary Hollywood Hills living.

From the motor court, the entryway passes a glass-walled display garage, before climbing floating stairs over reflecting pools and fire features to an elevated front door. Here, a light-filled gallery draws arrival deeper inside.

The open plan main floor is composed of a series of everyday living and entertaining spaces. Family, dining, kitchen, and gathering areas all flow from one to the next, while open volumes and transparent floor elements allow views to pass throughout the interior, and between the floors above and below. This architectural detail, found throughout the design, ensures that despite its size, the home feels like it lives small.

The upper floor continues this open and interconnected feeling within the private spaces. The primary suite with sitting area, bath, generous closet, and private outdoor terrace sits across from two bedroom suites, and a music mezzanine. Open-to-below volumes bordered by glass railings, and three glass floor sections preserve sightlines down into the level below, while also allowing natural light from skylights overhead to filter through.

Open volumes and light wells continue on the lower level, where entertainment, fitness, and guest accommodations are organized around open-to-above spaces and glass ceilings. A home theater, lounge, bar, and three room wine suite adjoin a wellness area that includes a home gym, sauna, steam room, duo of massage rooms, and dedicated yoga studio with private terrace and fire feature. Two guest suites share this outdoor patio and fire feature.

Outdoor living is woven throughout Royal Oak at every level, with the most extensive spaces surrounding the main floor. Instead of having one terrace, the home is instead wrapped in swimming pools with submerged lounge areas and water jets, lap pools, ponds, and a spa. Interspersed with resort style terraces with fire features, these outdoor living spaces invite lounging, dining, and entertaining year around. Extending onto the rooftop, an additional spa and fire feature invite private gatherings.

From its carefully choreographed arrival sequence, to its layered living spaces and extensive water features, Royal Oak offers a modern design for the luxury Los Angeles lifestyle.
