Mountain Retreat Villa is a contemporary luxury residence conceived for a steep, forested mountain setting, where architecture and landscape are carefully integrated to create a private retreat immersed in nature.
The design is organized as a series of interconnected volumes that follow the natural topography of the site, minimizing the visual impact of the building while maximizing panoramic views toward the surrounding forest and mountainous landscape. The stepped configuration creates multiple terraces and outdoor spaces, allowing different areas of the residence to maintain a direct relationship with the surrounding environment.
The architectural language combines natural stone, dark metal cladding, warm timber soffits, and expansive glazing. The contrast between the rugged texture of the stone and the refined contemporary materials gives the residence a distinctive character while responding to its mountainous context.
Large glazed openings bring natural light deep into the interior spaces and establish continuous visual connections between the living areas and the landscape. Generous cantilevered terraces extend the interior spaces outward, creating sheltered areas for relaxation, dining, and enjoying the surrounding views.
A central stone element acts as a strong architectural anchor, visually connecting different levels of the residence. The material palette continues throughout the interior and exterior to create a cohesive architectural identity.
The landscape design is conceived as an extension of the architecture, incorporating native vegetation, stone pathways, stepped gardens, outdoor seating areas, and a reflective infinity pool positioned to reinforce the connection between the residence and the natural terrain.
At night, carefully integrated architectural lighting emphasizes the layered volumes, stone surfaces, terraces, and landscape while maintaining a warm and understated atmosphere. The lighting strategy also highlights the relationship between the building and the surrounding forest without overpowering the natural setting.
The project includes multiple levels of private and social spaces, including spacious living areas, bedrooms with panoramic views, outdoor lounges, terraces, a swimming pool, landscaped gardens, and a partially integrated parking area.
Mountain Retreat Villa explores a contemporary approach to mountain living—combining strong architectural geometry with natural materials and carefully framed views to create a residence that feels both luxurious and deeply connected to its surroundings.
