Located in a wooded valley on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Sycamore Glen is a single-family home nestled among mature trees, overlooking Wister Creek. Bordered closely by neighboring houses to the west, the narrow site informed a linear organization and a careful balance of privacy, light, and views. Pix The house is structured around a series of parallel masonry walls that divide space, define rhythm, and extend beyond the envelope to articulate thresholds and terraces. The transformation of Bellerivestrasse 36 represents a harmonious integration of climate-friendly architecture and urban revitalization. The project, led by C.F. Møller Architects, involved modernizing a 1970s outdated office building on the shores of Lake Zürich into a highly climate-friendly and functional space. The façade, previously closed, was replaced with photovoltaic panels that create transparency and generate clean energy while providing shade to the interior. Am grünen Stadtrand Münchens wurde dieses Einfamilienhaus für eine musikbegeisterte Bauherrin, ihren Flügel und ihren Chor geschaffen. Als Teil des Traumeigenheims fungiert es auch als Blickfang und rundet das architektonische Design der gesamten Liegenschaft ab. Das dachten sich auch die Besitzer dieses Eigenheims, welche im Rahmen einer Dachaufstockung zur Wohnraumgewinnung die Gelegenheit nutzten, um ihr Haus ästhetisch und energietechnisch aufzuwerten.
