Bordered closely by neighboring houses to the west, the narrow site informed a linear organization and a careful balance of privacy, light, and views. The transformation of Bellerivestrasse 36 represents a harmonious integration of climate-friendly architecture and urban revitalization. The project, led by C.F. Møller Architects, involved modernizing a 1970s outdated office building on the shores of Lake Zürich into a highly climate-friendly and functional space. The façade, previously closed, was replaced with photovoltaic panels that create transparency and generate clean energy while providing shade to the interior. As part of the dream home, it also acts as an eye-catcher and rounds off the architectural design of the entire property. As a crowning achievement, they installed SunStyle solar roof tiles on both the house and garage. The garage roofs have an east/west orientation, which provides good electricity production in the morning and afternoon.
