Into the woods
The building is situated in the countryside near Genova, surrounded by a chestnut trees woods.Before the refurbishment works, the house was characterized by a long corridor that completely cut the flat, leading to the several rooms arranged on both its sides. The project changed this one-directional principle by demolishing half of this corridor and introducing a cross-shaped furniture that manages the whole house introducing a second direction.This huge furniture contains a stairs - connecting to an attic upstairs - and the suspended kitchen cabinets in the shorter cross arm, while the longer cross arm hosts the main closet and shelfs of the house. About Acoustic - Tile
Acoustic - Tile is a 2-layer wood product, consisting of an mdf substrate with a Plexwood veneer on one side and an acoustic fleece on the reverse side, and a groove and slip tongue connection. The product is as standard provided with micro-perforation pattern on the front, standard ⌀ 1.5 mm, c-t-c 8 mm. The reverse side is perforated ⌀ 5 mm. The αw (alpha value) of this pattern is 0.50 and the NRC is 0.65. There are two optional perforation patterns available (⌀ 3 mm and ⌀ 5 mm), which also have influence on the acoustic properties. This product is also available with geometric patterns.

The product is as standard provided with a linear groove with slots pattern TLS 29/3 front width 3 mm, c-t-c 32 mm, rear with staggered slots length 97 mm, αw (Alpha value) is 0.75, NRC is 0.65. There are two optional linear groove with slots patterns available (TLS 6/2 and TLS 14/2), which also have influence on the acoustic properties

Glocal Design Station
We were invited by Glocal Design Magazine to design their exhibition booth for a design and furniture fair in Mexico City. The construction and material for the booth was sponsored by Masisa, the leading manufacturer of MDF panels in Latin America who requested that the structure should showcase a large range of their finishes as a way to sample the possibilities of the material. We chose two color sequences, one from black to white including some wood texture materials and the other one ranging from dark green to orange.
