Academia Atlas F.C.

The Atlas Project is a sports, training and community complex designed for the Atlas Football Club. It gives a home to emerging and veteran athletes, supporting Mexico's longstanding affinity with the game of football. The project works on two levels: to register the characteristics of its Guadalajara site, and to unite people through collective experience. Courtesy of Sordo Madaleno Courtesy of Sordo Madaleno The complex is sited in Zapopan, within the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area—a municipality whose social and cultural traditions are deeply intertwined with Mexican national identity. The region is home to tequila, mariachi, and football: three forces that have shaped Mexico's cultural image both domestically and interna... More

La Botiga

La Botiga is a project born from the idea of providing a unique experience to its customers through its pastries and specialty coffee. The design was based on very clear design guidelines: the space had to be welcoming but at the same time evoke an elegant simplicity. The premises were organized mainly around two large display cases that mark a very clear linear path, designed to enter, walk through, and appreciate all the pastries and baked goods, similar to a museum, before reaching the point of sale. In this small space, it was crucial to understand the operation and give each activity the appropriate amount of space. José Miguel González, Apertura Arquitectónica José Miguel González, Apertura... constitución 8

Constitución 8 is a residential apartment building in the city of Puebla, Mexico, located in an area of high growth. It emerges as a real estate development for sale under the premise of making every single apartment unique. The project idea repels the typical real state development plan from its conception, under the principle of maximum adaptability, generating 10 different and expressive apartments. The creation of individual spaces is achieved through an offset in both plan and section. The volumes of the apartments move freely in and out, up and down. The horizontal offsets generate wider spaces in the interiors of the apartments while at the upper level generate terraces and balconies. In addition, the vertical offsets generat... More

Casa Metepec

Comfort and coziness were two of the premises behind the project.Together with them, we care for the environment, making it part of the house. As a result, we ensure the quality of life of the inhabitants. The proposal introduces some materials not typically used on site.   Ethelett Orientation. The first important decision was the orientation of the house. This is in Metepec, Mexico. The weather of the place is cold at certain hours and times of the year. We proposed the south orientation. In this way we capture the sun’s rays during winter. At the same time, by means of small overhangs, we avoid them in hot seasons. We also exploit another local weather feature. Metepec has wide temperature variations throughout th... More

CICERON CDMX

Cicerón 213 Located in Polanco, one if not the most exclusive neighborhood in Mexico City, this residential project holds 4 apartments, one per floor.  The project aligns with the local urban normativity which mandates a three-meter restriction from the street on the first three levels plus another three meters on the fourth floor. Finally, the normativity mandates an extra meter at the front on one of the sides of the plot. Taking this in consideration, the front limits of the building create an imaginary zig zag line that goes deeper into the plot from left to right. We decided to draw a diagonal line based on this zig zag, shifting the façade against the traffic flow of the street giving a sense of welcoming to the a... More
