The Botiga

La Botiga is a project born from the idea of providing a unique experience to its customers through its pastries and specialty coffee. The design was based on very clear design guidelines: the space had to be welcoming but at the same time evoke an elegant simplicity.

The premises were organized mainly around two large display cases that mark a very clear linear path, designed to enter, walk through, and appreciate all the pastries and baked goods, similar to a museum, before reaching the point of sale. In this small space, it was crucial to understand the operation and give each activity the appropriate amount of space.

The selection of materials responds to sustainability criteria, allowing for future flexibility in case the premises need to be transformed, thus generating less waste and demolition. All materials were sourced locally, and all fixed and non-fixed furniture was manufactured in Monterrey. The palette is simple and light in color to maximize natural light and achieve a perception of greater spaciousness, always keeping in mind that the place should feel close to people.

Most of the elements retain a certain linearity to achieve visual harmony; the aim was for these lines to coincide in various aspects, from display case levels to bars and shelves. All the elements were made of oak wood, which gave the space greater warmth.
