A floor plate like this lives or dies on whether the loud half wrecks the quiet half, and sound is the one thing a render cannot show. So the separation had to be visible. Situated on the sixth floor of the Gorlin Tower in Miami, this two-bedroom apartment takes full advantage of its commanding views of the waterway below and the city of Miami beyond. The interior, loft-like space is arranged in an open plan configuration. Centered around a main living room, the dining and kitchen areas extends seamlessly through floor-to-ceiling windows onto the wraparound terrace outside. Marlins Ballpark replaces the legacy of the memorable Orange Bowl in Little Havana, adjacent to downtown Miami. Situated on the same footprint, the ballpark is intended to be the anchor for infill and redevelopment on the site. This new 37,000-seat Major League Baseball facility includes a retractable roof to shield spectators from the sun and rain, inherently changing the perception of summertime baseball in Florida for generations to come.
