A stone’s throw from Toronto’s animated Yonge and Sheppard intersection, Hay Sushi is a neighbourhood establishment known for elevated Japanese fare and relaxed dining. Odami had the opportunity to reimagine the restaurant’s Spring Garden location in a nearby space with double its previous capacity. The swimming pool complex lies beside the entrance to the town of Fondettes, just a few kilometres from the city of Tours. The urban backdrop here is mainly residential with a housing estate. The site of the swimming pool complex is completely flat. It faces a roundabout that was recently built. The railway yard of Porta Romana is one of Milan's urban promises. It stands as a hub of excellence where the urban regeneration of industrial properties sets an exemplary standard for all. The Foundation Prada, drawing visitors from around the world, contributes to this reputation, enhanced by the fame of OMA. The future Olympic Village represents a challenge in establishing a renewed relationship between the natural and the artificial. The idea was to create a minimalist and modern space which is also functionally optimal with the right aesthetics. The design mostly includes furniture pieces and décor items that have been tastefully sourced to suit the clients needs.
