The more than 1,000-square-metre plot on which we designed the "Light House," is located in a well-ordered enclave of single-family houses in the vicinity of Radomierzyce, near Wrocław. The magnificent mature tree stand gives the place a unique character, and the newly built houses shape the architectural quality of the estate, which has a modern character. The developer had a clear objective: to create a modern house that makes use of and blends in with the surrounding wooded landscape. We named this home Modern on the Prairie. Certainly, Pa Ingalls didn’t design this one. We designed it in a Modern architectural spacial design by using vertical and horizontal planes to create the spaces. No post and beams or headers. Its flat roof helps further expresses the planes. Situated on a large, private lot with wooded areas and water views called for a home that would embrace the land. In our Modern European home, we wanted to capture the beautiful views of the setting. Architecturally, the sequence and the volume changes of the individual spaces make it more interesting as you approach the house and walk through it. A Relaxing vibe was the driving thought behind the conceptualization of AA Urban Villas. The building itself was a mix used between a working space and a house. Lower levels are used for the work area where the owner works there. So the idea was to create a different surrounding resort feel like a house on the top floor. It consists of two parts - a main building and a garage unit, which includes rooms for personnel and a music studio. The project involves a new house and studio spaces for a sea-changing artist couple on a substantial yet narrow remnant site in the NSW south coast town of Woonona. It draws upon the typology of farmhouses that were prevalent in the area during early 19th century settlement of the town, embracing utilitarian qualities in construction methods and materials. Unlike the built pattern of the surrounding context, the proposal is comprised of a small 103 sqm plan that is organised into simply demarcated public and private zones within a low saw-tooth roof arrangement. The modern house in Plock has been carefully integrated into the southern slope of the Vistula river. The elevation of the House  is made of a  dark gray stone tails, thanks to which the building looks like a granite rock lying on a mountain slope. Strips of glazing dynamically pass through the body of the building, also illuminating the entresol and the bathroom on the first floor.
