The literal meaning of the word ” Nefaar ” is a summer house; in the northern farms of Iran, simple wooden rest houses are common, which serve as a place to relieve fatigue and have lunch for farmers during the summer season and work hours. They also provide a safe haven in the evening or at night, protecting farmers against the fear of wild animal attacks. The dwelling house for a family is situated on a slope sloping to the east in a location close to the city of Linz. The topography of the building site, building regulations and the amount of sunlight on the property were the determining parameters for the draft and conception of the house. All in all, the clear structure, which appears monolithic from the outside, is dissolved into a complex spatial structure on the inside. In the first phase of studies, several options were considered. Faced with the poor quality of the construction, symptomatic of the 1970’s, as well as a constraining construction system, the owners favored a variant of heavy transformation: the above ground part was demolished, leaving only the basement and the existing concrete invert. Located at Wahat al-Salam/Neve Shalom—a one-of-a-kind Israeli Arab-Jewish village committed to cultural equity—the house’s position embodies the experience of accommodation in terms of both openness and hospitality.  Shaped in a ‘U’ around a celebratory entrance yard, the house’s typology conveys an invitation to enter, while simultaneously functioning as a protective shield for its dwellers. A private house in Gifu prefecture which consists of traditional Japanese rooms and modern style LDK (Living, Dining and Kitchen). Japanese rooms are to be used in multiple way, sleeping, chilling, funeral etc. Doors of Japanese rooms are shoji of "taiko-bari" (wrapped by Japanese paper like a drum) so that frames of shoji are blurred in daytime and clarified at night.
