Full height glazing allows uninterrupted visual continuity across the garden, while slender columns placed beyond the glass frame the space. Raphael's Refugium

This project began with a former loft-style office featuring exceptionally high ceilings and a spacious terrace in the city center. This distinctive, partly two-story space was envisioned as the new home for a young art dealer, perfectly suited for a hybrid concept between apartment and art gallery. Stefan Leitner The unique spatial layout of the loft made dividing it into separate rooms impractical, as it would have compromised its three-dimensional qualities. This led to a clear architectural principle: a largely neutral space would host freestanding, sculptural, and individually designed furniture pieces of high aesthetic quality—resembling artworks in a gallery. Stefan Leitner Only two large sweeping lines intersect th... More

PS House

PS House densifies the inner block of an already dense San Francisco neighborhood (North Beach), while bringing an unexpected degree of spaciousness, natural light and connection with the outside to a small 1200sf urban house. It is a speculative project aimed at maximizing the potential of an existing dilapidated structure at the rear of the property, which was demolished but whose small footprint could not be expanded. Geode ADU

Geode ADU is a small (640 square feet) recently completed accessory dwelling unit that supplements and contrasts an existing mid-century modern Eichler house in Burlingame, CA.
