HARMAY Beijing Hopson One

What if products were treated like art? Collected rather than consumed, archived rather than displayed, experienced rather than sold. Over the years, AIM Architecture and HARMAY have worked closely to redefine what a store can be, moving beyond retail to create spaces that foster curiosity, community, and cultural exchange. HARMAY, a pioneering beauty retailer known for its unconventional warehouse aesthetic and curated approach, has built a loyal following by turning shopping into a process of exploration. Voyeur Voyeur Flagship Store

A retail space defined by a "frozen" landscape of white geometric volumes and one-way mirrors that explore the boundary between public display and private observation. Paul Riddle Located in Shoreditch London, the new Voyeur Voyeur flagship store by CRAB Studio reimagines the retail environment as a gallery-like cavern. The design centres on an abstract landscape of bold, geometric masses that appear to tumble through the space, sliced through by an eyeline horizon mirror. By balancing a monochromatic palette with strategic sightlines, the project transforms the act of shopping into a choreographed performance of voyeurism and reflection.About the brand Voyeur Voyeur is a multi-label luxury fashion and lifestyle store located in Shor... DFS Van Don Airport

A new pavilion for Vietnam’s Van Don Airport recalls the textures of mid-century Modernism and the rocky mountains of nearby Ha Long Bay. Located directly on the departures concourse, one of the main challenges for the pavilion lay in balancing a sense of enclosure with the need for product visibility. Three solid walls which house the back-of-house and display walls form the backbone of the pavilion, while pigmented concrete screen blocks form a visually transparent facade. A feature display for beauty products is installed at the far end, illuminated from above by a triangular skylight. Coor Seongsu Flagship Store

When planning a commercial space, it is not easy to sacrifice usable space. This is especially true in areas with high unit prices, where most prefer to maximize the display space by ensuring more circulation space in narrow areas. However, The Coor Seongsu Flagship Store took a different approach, going against this trend. Half of the second floor slab and two-thirds of the fourth floor slab were removed, transforming the building into a two-story structure with the height of a four-story building. Sun Kim(ATELIER KHJ) After much contemplation on how to guide visitors to naturally and unconsciously ascend to the upper floors, the solution found was: First, to convey a sense of comfort through intuitive circulation; second, to conside... Play Vinyl

Play Vinyl is a specialist retail store for vinyl records, turntables, and audio equipment, located within River Mall in Kyiv, Ukraine. Designed by Sobchenko Architects, the project draws on the physical and ritual qualities of analogue sound. Rather than treating vinyl as a nostalgic object, the design focuses on how people interact with records: browsing, touching, listening, and taking time. This approach led to a prioritisation of function over decoration. The interior is defined by clean lines, simple geometry, and material restraint, allowing the products and the act of listening to remain central. Lavish Choclate Boutique

Kuwait City, Kuwait, 2025 Amid the calm corridors of a maternity hospital, Lavish by Office 313 emerges as an unexpected composition of warmth and indulgence. Conceived as a micro architecture of calm luxury, the boutique reinterprets the act of chocolate buying into a sensory experience where tactility, light, and proportion invite a moment of pause within a clinical environment. Lavish occupies a modest footprint, yet its spatial language feels expansive. The design begins with a continuous frame that defines the boutique’s perimeter, its curved geometry guiding movement while maintaining openness to the surrounding corridor. This threshold instantly signals a shift in atmosphere, from sterile to sensorial, from public to personal... More

Shop to flat

An abandoned commercial space in a lively Lisbon neighborhood, Campo de Ourique, was transformed into a compact flat with a small backyard. A red metal grid was added to the existing storefront, creating a protective yet porous threshold that mediates between the street and the interior. Just behind it, a wall of glass blocks allows natural light to get in while preserving privacy — softening the transition from public to domestic space. It’s not uncommon to find the client sitting just inside the open door, reading a book or enjoying a coffee — a quiet moment held between the rhythms of the home and the city. VELUX Ankara

''Velux Ankara''; an inviting identity approach to urban life. The concept of shopping, which is one of the basic elements of social life, has become widespread in buildings that sharpen the boundaries with the city in today's construction, aiming to enable people to realize their social activities in closed areas. Social life remains within certain boundaries in buildings disconnected from the city. 'Velux Ankara' removes the boundaries and takes the flow in the city into itself. By positioning itself invitingly on the street, it ensures the continuity of the street within itself and is included in the city flow.  Caption "Velux Ankara" is a mixed-use project consisting of a total construction area of 276.524 m², 14 blocks... Yoozoo Pánuco

Yoozoo is a contemporary bubble tea shop located in a colonial building, thoughtfully designed to offer a unique sensory journey. The contrast between the historic architecture and the minimalist intervention is accentuated by a softly lit polycarbonate tunnel that blurs the boundaries between interior and exterior spaces. Caption  Although compact, the space becomes a stage where modern aesthetics and functionality converge. From the street, its discreet façade stands out for its clean and orderly design, animated by a vibrant sign that attracts passers-by and invites them to discover what lies inside. Itsumo Dessert Shop

The renovation of the ITSUMO dessert shop in Batam began as a collaborative renovation, aiming to challenge local architectural norms. This site’s significance stems from it being the client's first store, which she originally designed herself.  The renovation aimed to elevate architecture's perception within its typical ruko (shop-house) context, beyond just the retail space. Kung Photograph Kung Photograph Kung Photograph Kung Photograph Kung Photograph The client's vision for a bold statement where the brand originated fueled the project.
