Haus Skyview is the transformation of a modest wartime bungalow into a contemporary, high-performance family home in Toronto's east end. Rather than replacing the existing structure, the project reimagines it through a complete interior reconstruction, basement underpinning, a new second storey, and a two-storey rear addition. Located in East York, Toronto, Periscope House is a renovation-addition project in which the existing one-story bungalow is renovated and a second floor is added on top. It was commissioned by a young professional couple with two children, to create a more personalized and sustainable setting for their lives. Coinciding with the pandemic, however, which has doubled or even tripled the material costs, it eventually went through a drastic revision, which resulted in removing half of the second floor and relocating children’s bedrooms to the ground floor. The Symington Laneway House is a 2-storey infill residence built on a narrow 17' wide lot in Toronto's Junction neighbourhood. At 1,000 sq. ft, the project is now home to the owner who formerly lived in the two-unit house at the front of the property. This concept design for a pediatric care and community center in Canada near Toronto was completed for Grandview Kids, a non-profit organization that provides family-centered care for children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs.
