The project led the radical transformation of a typical 1970s apartment in Cervia (RA), which was originally characterized by a rigid, dark, and fragmented spatial layout. The main objective of the renovation was to dismantle the old period floor plan through the total demolition of interior partitions, creating a spacious, fluid, and naturally light-filled open-plan living area. On a long and narrow site within an industrial area, we were commissioned to oversee the planning and design of a new office building. The architecture adopts a simple, contemporary, and discreet language, respecting its surroundings. Although located at the top of a hill and some distance from the beach, the house was conceived in the spirit of a beach house—light, uncomplicated, and in harmony with the outdoors. The present single-family home, located on a small plot in Villa Urquiza, Buenos Aires, stands as an urban house that dialogues with its immediate surroundings. A solid white form that contrasts with its immediate surroundings. This is the principle behind the design of Casa Bosque, located on a narrow lot within a horizontal condominium of attached houses. This white canvas, being homogeneous, does not evoke the subjective mental image of a house and allows for an open perception of what is seen, offering a complete reading of the volume, without areas of concentration or elements that “pull” the eye. Urban Role  The intervention is places inside a courtyard building dating back to the late nineteenth/early twentieth century along the built border demarcating the urban center of the city of Monza. Historically, the area was occupied by the city walls and one of the access gates to the city: Porta San Biagio.Following its demolition in 1845, the walls and moat left room for residential blocks that, following its path, inhabit its thickness. The two-storey building was constructed  in 1887 as a villa for the merchant Alfred Knapp. The architect Markus Zimmermann created a brick building with a sandstone structure and kneeling storey with a hipped roof in the style of the Italian Renaissance. Set back from the Planie street, it is surrounded by a park-like garden. The building, together with the garden and enclosure, is a listed building due to its high bourgeois architecture. This holiday villa is located in the rural area of Pudong, Shanghai. The owner plans to demolish the old house and construct a new one to accommodate two families. Flashback to 2011 when the Millers lived in a 570sf beach cottage on a narrow lot.  We created a budget-friendly expansion by stretching the simple form, and they happily lived there for nearly a decade. When the family grew, they found a property in the same coastal community, a stepping stone from the last. The transition was easy for the kids because the last home inspired the new design. White Office Building Project. The designed structure of the building is a compact form consisting of two cuboids stacked on top of each other, close in plan dimensions, rotated 90 degrees relative to each other, and additionally shifted. Breaking the uniform cuboid emphasizes a different function for the ground floor compared to the first and second floors. Additionally, these two volumes are distinguished by the finish of the facades.
