Wood cladding

The renovation of AG Campus is an ambitious and sustainable project in the centre of Brussels. It introduces light, air and space. The project aims to augment the embodied experience of the saunas and pools within by providing subtle transitions that gradually create a separation between the everyday lives of visitors and the spaces within. These transitions include spatial elements such as ramps, gradations in light, and soothing materials. The design offers a focus on sensual and experiential qualities that enables visitors to be more physically present and in touch with their own body. House 1 is situated in Tromøy, an island on the south coast of Norway, characterised by pine forests, rocky beaches and wild shores. The project consists of a small house and an annex, designed by architects Eirik Mikal Stokke and Espen Robstad Heggertveit as part of their Oslo-based practice Section Plan Elevation Extrusion Diagram Architects (SPEED).
