Brief  The project brief was to create an atmosphere with features of a reputable and high-class bank, and of modernity and dynamism at the same time — the signature elements of the sport world. The 2,000 sqm heritage warehouse building, in which the office is located, provided a unique space over 2 floors, which gave the perfect grounds to reimagine ESPRITs first headquarter of the 80s in San Francisco and bring the spirit and essence of it to life. The high focus on design was related to their impressive design heritage with a new handwriting of today’s time.   The discipline was clear: simple space with simple rules. To take advantage of the beautiful view over the small valley in the canton of Aargau, the house sits far up on the steep hillside property. The House is accessed from a largely recessed garage located at street level and an underground staircase connecting the entrance and residence.   The ground-lying areas are structured of exposed concrete with a pine plywood formwork. Sitting above it - in the interior precisely interlocking - a wooden bolt construction, cladding outside with shingles inside with untreated beetle and rough sawn boards made of silver fir. HHQ involves special premises of HearDis!, an agency for corporate sound and in-store music based in Stuttgart; here, SEEBALD. created a flexible use of space, for team-based work, areas for retreats, intimate spaces, conference rooms, communal meals, options for events (for both internal and external guests) and showrooms, dimensioned for expandability and cooperation.
During the demolition and renovation, existing structures were exposed in order to make the original aura of the interior come alive.   This concrete skeleton construction, painted in white, dominates the room while adding a clear grid, on which pillars serve as the central axis. 1 Lyric Square is a fourteen-storey 1970’s office building, originally designed by acclaimed architect, Richard Seifert, as part of the wider Kings Street development in Hammersmith. The building has been subjected to piecemeal fit-outs and alterations but was otherwise as originally conceived and constructed. Stiff+Trevillion were commissioned to re-imagine this uncompromising and striking building and provide new Grade A workspace.The narrow plan, low floor to ceiling heights, in-efficient cores, outdated M+E systems and poorly insulated facades all posed challenges to the redevelopment. The typology of a typical open office plan is used in this project for the spatial arrangement of office desks, commonly used, in a double height space with Acropolis view in the center of Athens. The challenge was to design a workplace with as much desk area as possible, while presenting the meeting room as the most prominent design component.   A lightweight enclosed structure made of glass and metal colored in gold, defines the area both as a common and a private space; while indicating it as a unique object in the office area. Sim-Plex has maximised the limited space of a 503 sq.ft apartment in Hong Kong, by wrapping up the existing bay window with adjustable wooden cabinetry and furniture. The descent scenery of the surrounding was framed and created a harmony atmosphere with the interior.   Client inspiration - The surrounding open scenery was flavoured by the client, who is a young couple, and they asked for a flexible arrangement of space which could fully utilised the bay window without obstruction of the scenery. The apartment is situated on the first floor of an old building in the Sofia city centre. The main aim of the interior project was to maximise the intake of natural light inside the rooms and to create comfortable contemporary living conditions. The vestibule was enlarged at the expense of a small utilities room, while the former kitchen was transformed into a wardrobe room.A white epoxy resin flooring strip leads to the washing room and the bathroom while separating the living and the sleeping area of the apartment. A white multi-functional storage furniture stores the washing machine and the vast shoes collection of the owner of the apartment.
